HeatLink® PEX-a tubing for hydronic heating systems comes with an oxygen diffusion barrier which prevents oxygen from entering the heating system through the tubing wall, and is chemically stabilized against extended UV exposure. This exceptional UV resistance offered by HeatLink® tubing allows the contractor some added protection if an installation is left exposed longer than expected. Covered by a twenty-five year manufacturers limited warranty.

PEX-a is the most flexible PEX tubing available. The flexibility allows this product to be expanded to fit all the different fitting connections, including F1960 and F2080. The tubing also comes with an oxygen barrier to prevent oxygen permeability. This reduces corrosion and damage to heating components.

Before ordering the Heatlink Pex-a tubing, I searched and found the following information:
NSF61 rating means safe for potable water
Type A PEX means that expansion as well as crimp and cinch can be used on fittings
    Rated to 203 degrees F.
Type A is normally easier to work with according to what I read.
